Jazz Aviation and CAE have renewed a training agreement for the Bombardier CRJ, DHC8-100/300 and Q400 aircraft types into the next decade.

The Halifax-based regional carrier will use CAE’s full-flight simulators and desktop trainers in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal.

"We are pleased to continue the professional working relationship with CAE and to renew this long term contract," says Steve Linthwaite, vice-president of flight operations for Jazz Aviation. "The cost savings and efficiencies achieved through this renewed contract highlight the mutual success that has resulted from our long term relationship".

Jazz operated 127 aircraft at the end of the second quarter, including 42 Bombardier regional jets and 85 turboprops.
