China Cargo Airlines has signed an agreement with Boeing to use its Electronic Flight Bags (EFB) and Airplane Health Management (AHM) systems on the carrier's aircraft.
The Shanghai-based airline's new Boeing 777 freighters will be equipped with class 3 EFBs, says Boeing. The 777Fs and China Cargo's two existing 747-400 ER Freighters will also have Boeing's AHM system, it adds.
China Cargo will introduce six 777Fs into its fleet, with the first to be delivered in the first quarter of 2010.
It will be the first carrier in China to operate the Boeing EFB and AHM combination, says Boeing.
"We believe that Electronic Flight Bag and Airplane Health Management will bring increased efficiency and a greater awareness of each airplane's situation and condition to both flight deck and ground-based personnel," says China Cargo president Zhu Yimin.
