China Eastern Airlines (CEA) has signed an agreement with China Aircraft Leasing Group (CALC) to lease six new Airbus A320s.

The aircraft are expected to be delivered between 2015 and 2016, and will be subject to 12 year lease terms, CALC says in a statement.

As well as Sharklet wingtip devices, the aircraft will be delivered with Iridium wireless communications systems, Recaro seats and Panasonic inflight entertainment systems, says CALC senior vice-president technical and asset management Jerry Duan.

Winnie Liu, executive director and executive vice president of CALC says that the new agreement builds on a partnership with CEA that started in 2013.

“The Group’s new lease agreements with CEA demonstrate the continued trust from our long-term customers, as well as our stable and extended partnerships,” she adds.

Flightglobal’s Ascend Fleets database shows that CALC leases 15 A320 family aircraft to CEA, as well as one aircraft to China Eastern Airlines Jiangsu.
