China Southern Airlines has reported a net profit of yuan (CNY) of 57 million ($9.24 million) for the first quarter of 2013, reflecting a decrease of 82% year on year.
The carrier recorded an operating loss of CNY44 million, compared with a profit of CNY324 million a year ago, while finance expenses fell by 97% to CNY9 million from CNY263 million.
