Dassault has clinched US approval for steep approaches on its Falcon 900EX EASy/DX/LX and the 2000EX EASy/DX/LX series models. Both model series have already received steep approach certification from the European Aviation Safety Agency.

"With the most recent approvals, the entire current production Falcon fleet is now certified for steep approaches,' says Dassault, "which permits aircraft to operate at restricted airports with approach angles of up to 6 degrees". These include Lugano-Agno and Sion airports in Switzerland and London City airport in the UK.

"London City airport in the heart of London is a popular destination, because of the importance of the City as a financial hub," Dassault says. "London will also be the location of the 2012 summer Olympic Games, which due to London City's convenient access, are expected to generate especially heavy traffic at the facility."
