Delta Air Lines will begin twice-daily non-stop service between Los Angeles and San Antonio from 7 April 2015, as it continues to build up service from the airport in California.

The flights will be operated by Delta Connection carrier Compass Airlines with Embraer 175 aircraft.

Delta’s new San Antonio flights will complement previously announced new service to other cities in Texas from Los Angeles. The SkyTeam carrier will begin daily service to Dallas from 3 November and begin a third daily flight to Austin from 2 November.

“With the addition of San Antonio and Dallas service, Delta customers will have access to nine daily departures to three destinations between Los Angeles and Texas,” says Delta.

The airline has been steadily adding new service from Los Angeles, with new flights to Austin, Boise (Idaho) and San Salvador. It will also launch new service to London Heathrow in October followed by flights to Monterrey in November

On Los Angeles-San Antonio, Delta will compete against Southwest Airlines and United Airlines, schedules in Innovata show.
