Making its debut at the show and highlighting its services and operations to the airlines, business jet operators and business executives of the Gulf region is Spot Air (stand E740).

The Egyptian company, which has offices in Cairo and London, offers a full range of integrated aviation solutions including executive air charter, ACMI operations, aircraft management, aircraft sales and finance, completions consulting and aircraft maintenance.

"We are the sole agent for the Egypt-based Almasria Universal Airlines, which operates a fleet of two Airbus A320s and also the sole agent for Midwest Airlines in Egypt which is operating Boeing 737-600s," says Mohamed Hamed, chief executive. "In the support services sector we work with many international airlines, transferring tourist passengers to and from Egypt, regularly flying more than 8,000h a year and handling more than 24,000 passengers."

The company recently specialised in a military operation in which the company moved more than 3,000 soldiers.

The company works extensively in the business jet market throughout the Gulf region. During the last year it carried out more than 150 VIP flights on Spot Air's fleet of aircraft, which includes a Hawker 850XP, and carried out a number of joint ventures, most recently with Astra Associated Charter in Italy.
