Comlux has become the first charter company to offer all three Airbus Corporate Jetliner models, having taken delivery of its first A320 Prestige.

The latest aircraft is on show in the static park, giving EBACE visitors a glimpse into the world of the VVIP traveller.

The narrowbody airliner began commercial operations earlier this month with the Zurich-headquartered company's charter and management offering Fly Comlux. There are already three A318 Elites and two ACJs in the fleet.

Designed by Comlux Creatives, the aircraft's interior was outfitted in Indianapolis by its Comlux America completion centre.

The main room offers a VIP lounge with an L-shaped divan, two club seats and a large dining table for six guests. In the middle of the cabin a fully private compartment offers either a lounge for the day or a large double bed for night along with a bathroom and shower.

Suitable for up to 19 passengers, the cabin has been intentionally designed for the Middle East charter market, with designated business- and economy-class seats that allow the transport of an entourage. This A320 is equipped with the latest technologies including GSM, new touchscreens, mood-lighting, wi-fi internet access and iPod/iPhone stands enabling VIP passengers to enjoy a state-of-the-art in-flight experience.

"Our engineers have used specific materials in the cabin, enhancing the cabin quietness. They also worked on a weight-reduction programme to increase the aircraft's performance," said Comlux America chief executive David Edinger. Comlux America is poised to begin work on a Boeing Business Jet and Airbus Corporate Jetliner.
