The next dedicated business aviation event after EBACE will be staged in Macau on 10-11 June.

The Asian Business Aviation show will feature at least 10 business aircraft on the static line at the Macau International airport venue.

Supported by leading manufacturers, a conference entitled "Business Aircraft in Asia - a buyer's guide" is scheduled for the afternoon of Thursday, 10 June. It will be geared towards the consumer market, reflecting the fact that 90% of new aircraft sales in China are being made to private individuals.

"Private aircraft charter enquiries have doubled over September/October 2009, reflective of a good indication of recovery in the Asian market," says Asian Business Aviation Association chairman Chuck Woods.

He also points to recent action by the Chinese aviation authority to dramatically reduce the time it takes to arrange overfly permits from six days to 3h for Chinese-registered aircraft, and the progressive relaxation of other regulations after lobbying by AsBAA for more government support.

"Western companies such as VistaJet and ExecuJet are moving in to the region with aircraft and infrastructure investment. Importantly, Chinese banks seem to have an appetite to lend money for aircraft purchases," says Woods.
