Eurocopter has handed over the final two EC135 helicopters to Poland's state-controlled air medical rescue operator LPR. The government ordered 23 of the light twin-engined aircraft as part of a national emergency medical services fleet modernisation programme that calls for LPR's Mil Mi-2 to be gradually removed from service. The EC135s are operated by LPR from 17 bases across the country.
