Farnair Switzerland will add its fourth ATR 72 Freighter in July, consolidating itself as the world's biggest operator of the variant equipped with the large cargo door modification. The airline received its third ATR 72 Freighter in January.

Farnair was launch customer for the ATR 72 full freighter and is adopting the twin turboprop family as the cornerstone of its fleet- renewal – both passenger and freighter versions. Farnair Group has 21 aircraft in service, and the proportion of ATRs is steadily increasing as the replacement process gathers momentum.

Correction: In last week's World Airlines 2005 directory, we incorrectly stated that Farnair Switzerland had ceased operations. This was due to a production error, and we are happy to put the record straight. See Directory P40 for correct listing.
