Safety is an issue taken very seriously at Farnborough, a point illustrated with precautionary checks on a Grumman C-2 Greyhound after it landed at the show on Saturday.

Use of the main runway was briefly suspended when the Greyhound stopped on the taxiway.

After careful inspection of a suspected brake dragging problem and a minor delay to aircraft that were due to fly in immediately afterwards, the Greyhound was pronounced in perfect shape and is now in position on the static display.

The Greyhound is at Farnborough together with the Northrop Grumman E-2C Hawkeye airborne early warning (AEW) aircraft.
