Hawker Beechcraft has received US certification for the Hawker 750 business jet, a derivative of the popular Hawker 800 series aimed at the light mid-size sector. Deliveries will begin later in the first quarter.
The aircraft was launched in October 2006 when the company announced it was developing two new models based on the best-selling Hawker 800 series - the longer-range Hawker 900XP and shorter-range 750.
The $14.3 million 900XP, with uprated Honeywell TFE731-50R engines and 2,800nm (5,200km) range with six passengers, was certificated in August 2007, replacing the 850XP as Hawker Beechcraft's mid-sized model.

Priced at $12.2 million, the Hawker 750 is powered by TFE731-5BRs and has an almost 2,120nm range with four passengers. Range is reduced by replacing the ventral fuel tank with a heated external baggage compartment.
Both aircraft share the same mid-size cabin and Rockwell Collins Pro Line 2 integrated flightdeck, but the 750 is positioned to compete against the Bombardier Learjet 45XR and Cessna Citation XLS in the light mid-size sector.
Hawker Beechcraft says it delivered 430 business and general aviation aircraft in 2007, including 32 Hawker 900XPs plus 35 800XPs and 850XPs, as well as 41 Hawker 400XPs, 54 Premier 1As, 157 King Air twin-turboprops and 111 piston-powered aircraft.
