South Korean low-cost carrier Jeju Air has started a daily flight to Osaka Kansai and is now using Seoul Gimpo as one of its international gateways.

Jeju Air has launched a daily flight between Seoul Gimpo and Osaka Kansai using a Boeing 737, says an airline spokesman.

The airline already has international services from Seoul Incheon to Japan. But South Korean authorities have given it permission to also serve Japan from Seoul Gimpo, which until recently was primarily a domestic airport.

Jeju Air is competing on the Seoul Gimpo-Osaka Kansai route against All Nippon Airways, Asiana Airlines, JAL Express and Korean Air, according to Innovata.
