A Let L-410 has reportedly crashed in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

According to the AFP news agency, the aircraft was being operated by African Air Services Commuter and crashed en route to the city of Bukavu on 14 February.

The pilot and co-pilot were reportedly killed in the crash. No passengers are reported to have been on the flight.

According to Flightglobal's ACAS database, the aircraft was registered as 9Q-CIF.

All of the Democratic Republic of Congo's airlines appear on the European Commission's airline blacklist and are banned from operating to the European Union.

African Air Services Commuter could not be reached for comment.
