-UK remarketing agent Cabot Aviation has purchased Thai Airways International's two eight-year-old ATR 42-320s, which are now being offered for onward sale or lease.

-Swedish lessor Indigo Aviation has acquired two Boeing 737-400s which are currently leased to Istanbul Airlines and Italy's Blue Panorama. The aircraft are leased until 2003.

-Iberia has placed a firm order with Airbus for six A340-300s, plus five options, confirming its earlier commitment. Deliveries of the new aircraft will begin next November, and they will add to the airline's existing fleet of eight A340s.

-Islena Airlines, an affiliate of TACA, has added two secondhand ATR 42s on lease from ATR Asset Management.

-ATR has placed a second new ATR 42-500 with Caribbean regional Air Guadeloupe. The aircraft will be operated by its subsidiary, Société Martinique Aeronautique.

-Pegasus Aviation has bought six aircraft from International Air Lease, which it says will generate $27 million in lease contract value. The deal involves the purchase of two 10-year-old Mexican Boeing MD-83s, one operated by Allegro Air and the other by Aeromexico. Four 727s are also included - two 19-year-old hushkitted -200Adv freighters operated by l'Aeropostale, one 20-year-old -200 Adv operated by Custom Air Transport, and a 19-year-old passenger model operated by an undisclosed airline.

-Airbus has confirmed Austrian Airlines' order for six A320s and one A321, powered by CFM International CFM56 engines.

-Sabena will add to its fleet an ex-Malaysia Airlines, Pratt & Whitney PW4168-powered Airbus A330-300 on a 70-month lease from International Lease Finance in April. The operator is also adding three new A330-200s on lease from ILFC in late 1999, following from a previously announced deal.

-Air Atlanta Icelandic has leased two Rolls-Royce RB211-powered Boeing 747-200s from Cathay Pacific.
