Yemen Airways has leased three Boeing 737-800s from International Lease Finance for delivery starting in April 2002. Airfund has arranged the four-year lease of a 737-400 to Sky Airlines. AeroCentury has leased two de Havilland Canada DHC-6-300 Twin Otters to Trans Maldivian Airways, a regional airline based in Male, Republic of Maldives. The aircraft were previously leased to Colombian airline SAM. Finnair has leased two Pratt &Whitney PW2040-powered Boeing 757-200s from International Lease Finance for five years. The aircraft will be delivered in March and April 2002, taking its fleet to seven. International Aircraft Investors has secured several lease deals. An ex-TWA Boeing MD-82 has been leased to American Airlines, while National Jet Italia is leasing an ex-GB Airways Boeing 737-400 until April 2004. The company also has letters of intent from Skyservice for the lease of an ex-Transaer Airbus A320 and an ex-Taesa Boeing 737-300 to Italy's Panair. Pakistan International Airlines has extended the lease of five Boeing 747-300s from Cathay Pacific for a further five years. GE Capital Aviation Services is buying 10 Boeing 767-200s from Air New Zealand (ANZ), operated by ANZ and Ansett, through to 2004. ANZ is meanwhile considering acquiring more 737s, as well as ATR and Saab turboprops, to fill the gap in leisure services left by the demise of Qantas New Zealand. Miami Air International has taken delivery of the first of two Boeing 737-800s leased from CIT Aerospace. Bangkok Airways has leased a second Boeing 717 from Pembroke Capital. Air Holland has leased a Rolls-Royce RB211-powered Boeing 757-200 from ING Lease International Equipment Management. The aircraft was formerly operated by fellow Dutch carrier Martinair. Air Macau is planning to lease two Boeing 727-200F freighters later this month to develop its cargo business out of Macau.
