Shuttle America has reached an agreement with Saab Aircraft Leasing to take18 Saab 340As on three- to four-year terms to replace its Bombardier Dash 8s. Nine have been delivered and the remaining nine are due for delivery before the end of 2002. Meanwhile, Danish regional airline Scan Con Airways has introduced its first Saab 340 on services between Copenhagen Roskilde and Alborg. Hong Kong's Dragonair is to expand its fledgling cargo operation with an ex-Singapore Airlines Boeing 747-300 freighter, which it has purchased directly from Boeing The aircraft, its third -300F, will enter service by the end of this year following conversion.
