-Bahamasair has acquired two ex-Canadian Airlines International Boeing 737-200s from PLM International.
-Azerbaijan Airlines has finalised its contract with Boeing for two Boeing 757-200s. Delivery and engine selection details have not been disclosed, although the airline has held commitments for six Rolls-Royce RB.211-powered 757s since 1994.
-South African Airways has firmed up a commitment for a single Rolls-Royce RB.211-powered 747-400 which is due for delivery in 1998.
-Ukraine International Airlines has placed an order for a single Boeing 737-300, with delivery expected in 1999.
-Japan Transocean Air has increased its 737-400 orders to six, with the placing of orders for three additional aircraft
-The French charter airline Bell Air is finalising a deal with Condor to acquire a McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30 for delivery in late 1999.
-Air Nostrum is to add two additional used Aero International (Regional) ATR 72-200s on lease. They will join the two ex-Transasia aircraft delivered this month. Meanwhile, Air Nostrum will also increase its Fokker 50 fleet to 18 with the delivery of three aircraft on lease from Kenya Airways at the end of March, in a deal arranged by Aircraft Leasing and Management.
-Croatia Airways has introduced the first of six CFM International CFM56-powered Airbus A319s. The 132-seat aircraft can be operated on Croatia's longest routes, to Moscow and Copenhagen.
-Aerolineas Argentinas has leased an ex-TWA Boeing 747-200 from Pegasus Aviation Services.
-Australia's Jetcraft has added an ex-TWA Express de Havilland Dash 7-100 from the AGES Group
-Sobelair will introduce a new Boeing 737-300 in March 1998, on lease from Pembroke Capital.
-Air Transat is operating two Boeing 737-400s on its 1997/98 winter programme, leased from Virgin Express, in a contract which extend through the 1998/9 and 1999/2000 winter programmes.
