-Airbus Asset Management is negotiating to lease an ex-Gulf Air A340-300 to Sabena to replace the aircraft damaged in a landing accident at Brussels. The A340 had previously been earmarked for Ethiopian Airlines.

-Alitalia has leased one new Boeing 767-300ER and two used examples from International Lease Finance. The aircraft, are all powered by General Electric CF6-80C2s, with the used examples being delivered this month and October, and the new aircraft next April.

-Aircraft Leasing and Management of London Gatwick is remarketing a VIP-configured Boeing 707 for Qatar. The aircraft is Stage 2 compliant.

-Air Jamaica is leasing two A320s from International Lease Finance (ILFC) from October 1998 and April 1999, to replace two Boeing 727-200s which will be sold. The CFM International CFM-56-powered aircraft are on lease to Oman Air and Monarch Airlines. The Jamaican flag carrier is looking for at least four A320s as part of a fleet revamping which includes replacing its MD-83s.

-Cronus Airlines of Thessaloniki, Greece has ordered a Boeing 737-700/800 and has an option for another. The aircraft are due to be delivered in July 2001 and May 2002.

-Flight West Airlines of Australia is to purchase two former Air Ivoire Fokker 100s with delivery in December and January.

-Jet-Away Aviation Services of New York has acquired two Boeing 747-100s being sold by Fortis Aviation on behalf of TWA.
