Air Canada has received the first of six Rolls-Royce Trent 700-powered Airbus A330-300s. Qatari wet-lease specialist Gulf Falcon Group has arranged to acquire five ex-Japan Airlines Boeing 747s, including two -100s and three -200s, from Itochu Air Lease, for delivery from December. Indigo Aviation has sold two CFM International CFM56-powered Boeing 737s to an affiliate of Oasis International Leasing in Abu Dhabi. One aircraft is a 737-300 operated by Go, the other is a -400 leased to Virgin Express. Milan-based leasing company Locat has ordered a Fairchild 328JET, which will be delivered in April on lease to Aosta-based Air Vallée. SAirGroup's leasing division Flightlease has ordered two Airbus A340-300s for delivery late next year. Aeroflot has taken delivery of the first two of four GE CF6-powered Boeing 767-300ERs on lease from GE Capital Aviation Services. Iberia has completed a sale and lease back of its 24 Boeing 727-200s to Denver-based leasing company Republic Financial. Further to last week's report, Air Botswana is seeking to dispose of its 11-year-old British Aerospace 146-100 and has appointed Aircraft Leasing & Management to remarket the aircraft. The airline's three ATR 42s were destroyed this month when one of its pilots crashed one aircraft into others on the ground. LanChile has ordered a 10th International Aero Engines V2500-powered Airbus A320 for delivery in mid-2001. Flight International's sister on-line service Air Transport Intelligence reports that Braathens Sweden (formerly Malmo Aviation) is to acquire the 10 ex-SAM Columbia Avro RJ100s from BAe as part of a trade-in deal for the airline's fleet of nine BAe 146-200s. JMC Airlines has appointed Fortis to remarket its four ex-Caledonian Airways Lockheed L-1011 TriStar 100s. JMC was formed through the merger of Caledonian and Flying Colours.
