Monarch Scheduled managing director Tim Jeans says that the carrier's internet-based extra seat-pitch option has been "the best ancillary revenue driver straight out of the blocks that I've ever seen". Passengers can pay £15 ($28) for 34in seat pitch, 6in more than standard. Monarch Scheduled has taken one row of seats out of its aircraft to provide the extra pitch on six rows (48 seats).
