Comp Air is building a 22-seat composite aircraft at the request of an undisclosed Russian company. “Yes we will be building other aircraft, starting immediately,” says owner Ron Lueck. “It's a big airplane. I mean big-big!”

He may be ready to announce the identity of the Russian partner by the AOPA expo in San Jose, on November 6. The aircraft will be powered by twin TPE331-14s, which Lueck selected earlier this year for the Comp Air 12.

The company announced a $150 million investment Monday for that aircraft from MercMed LLC, allowing a move into a 23,000sq ft hangar at Melbourne International Airport.
