A Cessna Citation X fitted with elliptical winglets from Winglet Technology established a new speed record between Anchorage, Alaska, and Miami while at the same time exceeding the published maximum range of the aircraft by more than 100 miles.
The nonstop flight of 3,479nm was completed in 7h and 13min.
Winglet Technology President Bob Kiser says: "A Citation X without the Elliptical Winglets would not have been able to make this trip without a fuel stop."
