Comlux America has been selected by Boeing Business Jets for work on two aircraft at its newly opened completion hangar at the Indianapolis International airport.

The selection helps Comlux America build momentum in a key market four years after it was created, with the acquisition of the former Indianapolis Jet Center. In September, Comlux America opened the 129,000ft2 (12,0002) completions hangar to accommodate narrowbody aircraft as large as a Boeing 757.

"We won the (BBJ) tender and that job will be done in Comlux America," says Richard Gaona, chairman and president of Luxembourg-based Comlux.

Comlux America will perform an upgrade on one BBJ and a maintenance interval called a C-check, in which all major systems of the airframe and engine are inspected for repairs and updates.

Airbus, meanwhile, will display the Comlux-owned ACJ320 on the NBAA static display area.

Comlux America is currently bidding for work on "two or three" BBJs and one ACJ321, Gaona says. Completion positions in the new hangar in Indianapolis are sold out until 2014.
