Luma Technologies has launched a new integrated LED caution warning system at the show, targeted at operators of the Beechcraft 1900D, King Air 200, 300, 350/350i twin-engine turboprop platforms. "The LT-4500 is a reliable, drop in and play system for the retrofit market," said Luma Tech president Bruce Maxwell. "It replaces the traditional banks of ganged and uneven incandescent cap assemblies with a one-piece, low temperature, legend surface that compliments today's glass cockpit installations," he continued. The system is priced at around $20,000.

Luma is hoping to clinch supplemental type certification for the LT-4500 on the 1900D in November, with deliveries set to begin the following month. STC approval on the King Air types will follow soon after, said Maxwell. The four-year-old company is also targeting its LED caution warning systems at owners of the Beechjet 400 series, Cessna Citation 500 series and a number of helicopter types. "We are also targeting the OEMs with a view to getting our system on to new aircraft," Maxwell said.
