Egypt's Nile Air plans to launch operations in the second quarter of 2008 with services to eight destinations in the Gulf. Saudi Arabia-based Al-Tayyar Travel Group says it is the majority shareholder Nile Air but 30% will be publicly held. It plans to start with leased Airbus A321s and has already ordered nine A321s for delivery from 2012.
