Independent Forgings & Alloys will announce a new forging service for aerospace grades of titanium alloys at the Paris air show.

The UK-based company has created a production cell capable of converting titanium ingot into finished round and flat bar in bespoke sizes on "very short lead-times" and IFA will have samples of their GFM forgings available for titanium industry users to evaluate at the show.

IFA has supply contract approvals with Rolls Royce, Airbus, GKN Aerospace, Honeywell, ITP, AgustaWestland and has an approval pending with Bombardier Aerospace.
