The Israeli air force has received its first four Beechcraft T-6 trainers, with its remaining 16 examples to be delivered by the end of this year.
Dubbed the "Efroni" in Israeli service, the aircraft is replacing the CM-170 Zukit (Fouga Magister) jet trainer, which has served the air force's flight school at Hazerim air base for the last few decades. The older type is pictured in the foreground in the below image.

The Israeli defence ministry earlier this month awarded Elbit Systems a $10 million contract to support the new trainer fleet during its first five years of operation, with an option to extend the deal by a further five-year period.
