Lion Group’s first Airbus A320 aircraft, to be operated by its full-service unit Batik Air, has entered final assembly.

The aircraft is part of Lion Group's order for 234 aircraft made in March 2013. This consists of 60 baseline A320s, 109 re-engined A320neos and 65 A321neos.

Batik Air will deploy the A320 on its domestic and regional network, says Airbus.

Flightglobal’s Ascend Online Fleets database shows that Batik is scheduled to receive six A320s this year. The first A320 (MSN 6164) will bear the registration PK-LAF. It also operates six Boeing 737-900ER aircraft.

Lion Group is also the parent company of Indonesian low-cost carrier Lion Air and turboprop operator Wings Air.
