Turkish operator MNG Airlines has received the first Boeing 737-400 to have undergone freighter conversion by US firm Aeronautical Engineers.
The 21-year old aircraft - serial number 24126 - was in service with Futura International Airways as well as MNG during its passenger career.
MNG plans to put the 737-400SF into service on routes between Istanbul and Paris, London and Cologne.
The twin-jet was converted under a third-party Boeing-licensed programme at Aeronautical Engineers' Miami facility CJI, which also conducted a C-check and repaint.
It arrived at CJI in mid-October, and the centre has since taken a second MNG 737 for conversion. The modification gives the aircraft a 125m³ main deck freight volume, capable of accommodating 10 standard containers, and a maximum payload of 21,400kg.
