One new tourist attraction in the UAE is making somewhat of a splash. Seaplane operator Seawings, having successfully developed a business in Dubai, is now offering tours of Abu Dhabi.

Visitors can fly to Abu Dhabi from Dubai on the nine-seater Cessna 208 Caravan to the Yas Marina on Yas Island, or fly from Yas over all the famous Abu Dhabi landmarks.

The exhilarating take-off and landing on water is an unforgettable and unique experience. The aircraft cruises at an altitude of 1,500ft (460m), offering visitors panoramic views of the blazing red Ferrari World, the Formula 1 Grand Prix Circuit, Emirates Palace, the Abu Dhabi Corniche, and the beautiful steel and marble façade of the Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi hotel.

Apart from sightseeing tours, Seawings is offering corporate flight packages aimed at Abu Dhabi's burgeoning MICE sector, including trips to some of the eco-tourism or leisure-oriented islands off the Abu Dhabi coast.

"Since its inception in 2007, we have been on a mission to create unforgettable experiences for UAE tourists, Seawings chief executive Stuart Wheeler says.

"Last year, Seawings Dubai broke all records for growth and has been consistently ranked one of the top three tours in Dubai by TripAdvisor. Now with Abu Dhabi becoming one of the world's leading tourist destinations, Seawings has expanded its offering to Abu Dhabi visitors."

According to the 2012 MasterCard Global Destination Cities Index, Abu Dhabi has emerged as the Middle East's fourth fastest growing destination by international visitor numbers. "The presence of Seawings will only add to its growth," Wheeler says.
