Racal Avionics is to install Doppler and conventional VOR (VHF omni-directional range) and DME (distance-measuring equipment) at airports in the Caribbean and Estonia. The £1 million ($1.59 million) Estonian deal forms part of a major programme to modernise landing systems and navigational aids at Tallinn Airport. The contract, for CVOR DME and DVOR DME, is due for immediate delivery and includes an option for two more VOR DME systems.
