The two former Ansett regional carriers, Kendell and Hazelton Airlines, have been brought together under one identity as Regional Express (Rex) by parent Australiawide. A new livery and expanded services have been unveiled in New South Wales and Victoria, while the Sydney-Canberra shuttle formerly operated by Kendell has been restored. Australiawide chief executive Michael Jones says sales are already up 25%, and demand is outweighing the airline's call-centre capacity.
