Brussels-based low-fare airline Virgin Express will introduce double daily frequencies to Lisbon and Malaga from the end of October. The twice-weekly service to Faro, Portugal, will be increased to three times-weekly. UK regional Eastern Airways is launching services from Manchester to Inverness and Dundee on 4 November. The three times-daily service Monday to Friday will be flown by BAe J32s under a codeshare with BMI British Midland. THY is launching twice-weekly services between Istanbul and Hong Kong from the end of October. Thai Airways International will increase frequencies on the route between Chiang Mai and Mae Hong Son from three to five flights daily, starting from 27 October, using ATR 72s and Boeing 737-400s. United Airlines has announced a code- share agreement with Italy's Air Dolomiti covering over 40 daily flights operated by Air Dolomiti in Europe. Northwest Airlines is to begin daily seasonal services between its Detroit hub and Madrid from May, using McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30s. Alpi Eagles and Gandalf Airlines are launching a new daily flight under a codeshare agreement from Venice Marco Polo Airport to Bari-Palese for the European winter season from the end of October.
