-Iberia and Royal Air Maroc have signed a code-sharing agreement.

-Swissair has added four new destinations to its route network, with the introduction of scheduled services from Zurich to Malabo (once weekly) and Skopje (four flights a week), as well as daily flights to Bologna and Venice in co-operation with Italian partner airline Air One.

-Lufthansa has introduced a thrice-weekly service from Munich to Malta, to be operated by a Lufthansa CityLine BAe Avro RJ85.

-Delta Air Lines has taken advantage of the new liberal US-Japan bilateral air services agreement, by launching a daily non-stop flight between Atlanta and Tokyo using a Boeing MD-11. Delta has also converted its Tokyo-Los Angeles service to a daily frequency from 10 June and plans to launch daily non-stop services from Portland to Osaka and Fukuoka and start a Tokyo-Hawaii service later in the year.

-Royal Air Cambodge has launched a new direct twice-weekly service from Phnom Penh to Vientiane in Laos, using an ATR 72.

-United Airlines and Lufthansa have introduced the first non-stop service from Munich to Washington DC. United will operate the service daily with a 202-seat Boeing 767-300, as a code-share route.

-Jersey European Airways is to launch a service from Belfast to London Luton Airport on 1 August using extra capacity gained through the acquisition of five ex-Thai British Aerospace 146-300s while Sabena has launched a daily service to Belfast from Brussels.

-AB Airlines is to introduce flights between London Gatwick and Nice on 9 July using a Boeing 737-300, pending regulatory approval.

-Royal Jordanian has resumed twice-weekly flights to Tehran, having not served the Iranian capital since the Gulf War.

-Go, British Airways' low-cost operation, is to operate to Lisbon, Portugal from 23 July.

-SAS is to start daily morning services to Chicago from Stockholm using a Boeing 767, while its service from Copenhagen will be in the evening.
