LanChile begins daily Santiago-New York services, using a Boeing 767-300 and daily Santiago-Madrid services using an Airbus A340, in the third quarter of this year. After oneworld partner British Airways ends services to Santiago via Buenos Aires on 1 August, LanChile will provide a connecting codeshare service between the Argentinian and Chilean capitals. TAP Air Portugal and American Airlines have signed a codeshare agreement on flights between Portugal and the USA. The agreement begins in the third quarter, pending US and Portuguese government approval. Sabena and LOT Polish Airlines have increased services between Brussels and Warsaw to four times daily. Sabena has added frequencies to its Virgin Express-operated service between Brussels and Rome, taking it to seven daily, and two extra flights between Brussels and Marseilles, making it five daily. United Airlines continues its international expansion at San Francisco, starting a daily service to Beijing, China, using a Boeing 747-400, and to Frankfurt, Germany, using a Boeing 777, on 8 June. United now serves 15 international destinations from San Francisco. Air Canada has begun daily nonstop services between Ontario International Airport and Toronto, and Austin and Toronto, using 112-seat Airbus A319s. US Airways introduces on 12 November non-stop round-trip flights from Philadelphia to Aruba, Netherlands Antilles and Santa Domingo in the Dominican Republic. Delta Air Lines has begun daily non-stop services from Atlanta to Alaska, using Boeing 767-300s. The route will operate until 30 September. Transaero has opened a new daily return service linking Moscow Sheremetyevo and Minsk, using a Yakovlev Yak-40 wet-leased from the Orlov Air Enterprise. WestJet Airlines expanded into eastern Canada, on 8 June with twice daily flights between Ottawa and Hamilton, Ontario, with continuing service to Moncton and Winnipeg.
