RwandAir will add a stop at Lusaka to its Kigali-Johannesburg service from 27 March.

The thrice-weekly flights will continue to be operated with a Boeing 737-800.

Flightglobal's Innovata schedules show the route adjustment will create the only scheduled link between Rwanda and Zambia.

RwandAir will take delivery of a second Bombardier Q400 turboprop this year, and plans to expand to other destinations in southern and western Africa.
