EADS Socata is to make the freighter version of its single turboprop TBM700 available direct from the factory. The company is already delivering six aircraft to Quest Diagnostics, a US medical services company.

The factory-built aircraft, which has a useful cargo load of 725kg (1,600lb), will incorporate the freighter modification developed by Oxford, Maine-based Oxford Aviation. This includes cabin liners and tie-downs for three restraining nets.

Oxford is modifying three used aircraft for Quest, which is replacing part of its Cessna 310 fleet, used to transport samples between medical laboratories.
