A small aircraft has crashed into a residential district of Sao Paulo in Brazil just after taking off on 4 November, killing at least six people.

The aircraft, a Reali air taxi company-owned Bombardier Learjet 35 took off from Campo di Marte airfield on the outskirts of Sao Paulo for Rio de Janeiro, according to an official from the state airport authority Infraero say news sources.

The aircraft nose-dived into houses in the north side of the city. This video shows the aftermath of the crash with smoke billowing out from the rooftops in the neighbourhood.

Firefighters brought the blaze under control but an eyewitness said one house was completely demolished.
