Delta TechOps, a subsidiary of Delta Air Lines in the USA, has signed a three-year maintenance agreement with Taiwan's EVA Airways and its subsidiary UNI Air.

Under the deal, Delta will work with the airline's affiliate Evergreen Aviation Technologies to provide component support to EVA's fleet of Boeing 747 aircraft and UNI's McDonnell Douglas 90 aircraft.

"This partnership combined with Delta's expanded maintenance capabilities and increased global footprint will help Delta TechOps bolster its maintenance repair and overhaul presence in Asia," says Tony Charaf, president of Delta TechOps.

Kris Kuo, executive vice-president of EVA, adds that the agreement with Delta provides a "one-stop-shop for component services" on the airline's MD90 and 747 fleets, and complements the services provided by Evergreen Aviation Technologies.

"We value their commitment to safety and believe their extensive maintenance, repair and overhaul expertise will serve EVA very well," he adds.
