Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies (ADAT) has inked a seven-year integrated component solutions deal with Ethiopian Airlines for 19 Boeing 737 Next Generation aircraft. The contract starts on 1 July and includes component repair and overhaul, as well as several other services.

The agreement covers components for Ethiopian Airlines' 11 737-700s and 737-800s in service and eight 737-800s on order.

Along with maintenance services, ADAT and SR Technics will provide Ethiopian with component repair cycle management, engineering, transportation, pool access, financing and logistics. ADAT says the spares will primarily come from centres in the United Arab Emirates, the UK and Switzerland, and that most of the components will be maintained at workshops in Abu Dhabi and Zurich.

The component agreement is the first of its kind between Ethiopian Airlines and the Mubadala Aerospace MRO network.
