Aero Friedrichshafen marked the first European outing for Daher’s TBM 930 single-engined turboprop, following its roll-out in Tarbes, southwest France, on its 5 April.

Speaking at the show, Nicolas Chabbert, Daher’s senior vice-president, airplane business unit, said four examples of the six-seat, high-speed type had been handed over to customers to date, with a fifth scheduled for delivery before the end of this month.

The $4.1 million TBM 930 is the second in a family of TBM models planned by the French company in the coming years. Chabbert is tight-lipped about the design or timeframe of other potential new models, saying only: “There will be a next.”

The TBM 930 is an enhanced version of the the $3.9 million TBM 900, featuring Garmin’s G3000 touchscreen glass flightdeck, a reconfigured cockpit, redesigned seating, upgraded interior trimmings and finishes and Daher’s new bespoke e-copilot safety system.
