Turin, Italy-based Avio has set up Avio India Aviation Aerospace in New Delhi to develop business activities in the nation.
Two Italian Eurofighter Typhoons are currently being displayed at Aero India. Eurofighter is participating in the Indian air force tender for 126 multi-role combat aircraft. Avio is a partner in Eurojet, which supplies the Typhoon's EJ200 engines.
The group, which provides maintenance repair and overhaul of Pratt & Whitney Canada PW100 engines that power ATR aircraft, is interested in the growing market for the support of these engines in India.
