Russian flag-carrier Aeroflot has indicated plans to open new services to Italy, with operations to Naples and Verona.
The SkyTeam airline has been cleared to serve the two Italian cities from Moscow, according to a route rights document from federal air transport regulator Rosaviatsia.
Aeroflot has been approved for daily flights on both routes.
It would compete with Oneworld rival S7 Airlines which already serves Naples and Verona from the Russian capital.
