Air China has firmed up its order of five Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental aircraft, according to the airframer's updated orders today.

The state-owned carrier had previously signed a memorandum of understanding for the five aircraft.

Air China's firm order takes the total number of 2012 net orders for Boeing to 671 aircraft, comprising 667 737s, five 747s, 19 767s, 16 777s and includes the cancellation of 36 787s.
