In-flight connectivity service provider Aircell has appointed Jonathan Cobin as senior vice-president of project and operations management with responsibility for overseeing the company's organizational and operational effectiveness
Prior to joining Aircell, Cobin served as the vice-president of strategic planning at Centennial Communications. Before that, he held positions of increasing responsibility as a strategy consultant at Dean & Company, and in investment banking at JP Morgan. "[Cobin's] expertise and unique track record of successful business leadership will be invaluable in taking Aircell to new levels of profitable growth," says Aircell president and CEO Michael Small in a statement.
Aircell chief technology officer (CTO) Joe Cruz, meanwhile, has been tasked with developing Aircell's next generation technologies as executive vice-president and CTO.
"To ensure that our network will continue to support the services customers demand today and in the future, Joe [Cruz] will concentrate on Aircell's technology roadmap and long-term vision," says Small.
Cobin and Cruz will report directly to Small.
Aircell CFO Reid Simpson recently announced he is leaving the firm to take up a senior level position at Asset Acceptance Capital effective 17 May. Aircell has not yet announced a replacement for Reid.
