MTU Maintenance Zhuhai has signed engine maintenance agreements with Postal Airlines China and Japanese airline Solaseed Air, the MRO firm announced at Airshow China.

MTU will provide maintenance for the CFM International CFM56-3 engines that power Postal Airlines' fleet of 17 Boeing 737 Freighters and also service the engines used on Solaseed Air's 737 fleet.

The company says that with the latest contract announcements, MTU Maintenance Zhuhai has accumulated $183 million in sales during the past month.

MTU Maintenance Zhuhai, a joint venture between MTU and China Southern Airlines, officially opened its expanded facility this week, which it says has the capacity to conduct 300 shop visits on CFM56 and International Aero Engines V2500 engines per year.
