Italian flag carrier Alitalia will increase the frequency of its Rome-Abu Dhabi service from four to five times weekly, effective 13 June.

Partner Etihad Airways will place its code on the additional frequency, while also extending its onward codeshare connections over Alitalia's Rome Fiumicino hub.

The Gulf carrier will now codeshare on Alitalia-operated flights to Athens, Barcelona, Belgrade, Bucharest, Budapest, Frankfurt, Geneva, Madrid, Malaga, Malta, Milan, Munich, Sofia, Tirana, Venice, Vienna and Zurich.
