An Ariana Afghan Airlines Airbus A300B4 overran the runway while landing at Istanbul Ataturk airport on 23 March. The 25-year-old A300 (YA-BAD) came to a halt resting on its right wing after arriving from Kabul via Ankara. Weather conditions at the time were poor with rain and gusting winds. The A300 slid off Ataturk's 2,300m (7,550ft) long runway 06/24. The aircraft is being dismantled.
